Yes, the £99 deposit taken at the time of booking is deducted from your final package at your viewing and ordering session.
I recommend booking in advance for around 28-32 weeks of your pregnancy, when your bump has blossomed and before you start to feel too tired or uncomfortable.
Oh yes! All of the outfits you see on my gallery are available to you during your session.
Those first few weeks are gone so very quickly that it seems hard to remember our newborn baby so small and their features so dinky. Newborn baby photography sessions are a way for you to make time stand still in those very moments to look back on, especially during the sleepless nights we find it hard to remember those precious moments! Included within the sessions are parent and sibling shots as well, should you wish to participate, which I really do recommend to new parents.
Ideally you should book after having your 20 week scan, but I know these things often get put to the back of your mind during the excitement and organising, so as soon as you can get in touch.
Left it last minute? Don’t worry, I may still have space to offer you a session, pop me a message for availability.
I only book in a maximum of 4 newborn sessions a week to give all my expecting mums the flexibility to adjust the session date, depending on their delivery date, as you would already know, one can never plan when their little ones decide to make an appearance.
I just ask you to just drop me a short message as soon as possible when your baby is here and we can then arrange our session date that fits in for us both. The best time to photograph newborns are the first few weeks, as babies are still very sleepy and happy to pose. After that narrow window of time, they become more alert and aware and not too keen to curl into the cute, sleepy poses we all love.
Once you have booked in and paid your deposit you will be emailed across a confirmation of your booking. Once baby arrives and we have chosen the date you will receive another email with a brief preparation guide for your session to ensure it goes as smoothly as possibly.
To ensure your final images are ready for your little one’s birthday cards or thank you presents I advise booking a few months ahead as these sessions are extremely popular, allowing 3/4 weeks prior to the required date. I do sometimes have last minute availability so please do get in touch even if you think you may have left it too late, I will always try to accommodate the best I can.
All of my Cake Smash sessions include a bespoke to your theme one-tier cake, made by local baker, Kakes Bakery (you can find her on Instagram @Kakes_Bakery). She provides cakes for all dietary requirements so we can ensure all needs are catered for.
If your little one has any allergies or dietary requirements, please do tell me at the time of booking.
I work with a wonderful balloon artist for the majority of my smashes and these are also included within your package prices. If balloons are not your thing, I have plenty of other themes and designs we can use, just take a look at the Cake Smash Gallery.
In the studio you have access to lots of outfits and accessories for your Cake Smash, so rest assured that the stress is taken away so that you can relax on the day.
Included within my packages you also have tub time, which is a super fun way to clean up after your little one’s session whilst capturing natural fun images.
Around two weeks after your session you will be invited back to the studio to view your final edited gallery of images from which to choose your package. At your viewing session you will be shown a beautiful personalised video after which we will select the images. Full payment is due at this session.
